Clear-felling is the removal of all trees from any selected area chosen for harvesting. With reasons for felling a stand of timber ranging from continuous crop rotation on large scale timber production sites, areas of heathland restoration, or new building development sites, Repson Timber offers a fully managed clearfell service.
With our fully managed clearfell and timber harvesting service, we’re thoroughly equipped to carry out timber harvesting operations in almost every type of environment, including, but not limited to, forests, woodland, and parkland to lakesides or river banks.
Our range of forestry machinery includes a range of specialist equipment, both manual and mechanical, that allows us to carry out clear-felling operations in any given area, wherever it’s required, regardless of terrain or ground condition.
During any clearfell operations, there will be a certain amount of brash material (known as lop & top) which will have been windrowed and left to rot and decay on site. As part of our clearfell services, we can often remove this material from the site for use in the biomass fuel industry, potentially adding another source of income for you.
In managing and supervising your entire on-site clear-felling process from start to finish, our team will consistently look to minimise any environmental impact, working directly with you and within the guidance provided by UKWAS and FISA.
As a fully independent company, Repson Timber has no obligation to any sawmills, contractors, or hauliers. That means we work with you as a local landowner directly, acting on your behalf to prioritise local timber sales on your behalf, quickly and efficiently – with no third parties or middlemen.
